The ALA-accredited Rutgers MLIS degree program offers you the option to complete your courses entirely online while receiving the full support and benefits of face-to-face connection. Your academic, student life, and career advising needs are answered by our faculty, staff, and our peer mentors, students just like you who welcome our newest cohorts and work to ensure a high degree of interaction between you and our campus life.
 
While you can complete all of your degree requirements online, you are strongly encouraged to attend our campus orientation program for two-days prior to the start of your first term. Our online students feel that this opportunity  to meet face-to-face before the program, to meet with faculty and staff, and to get hands-on training in the online learning management system should not be missed.
